American Holiday Lights has installed across the northwest suburbs since 2007. We run a year-round business with employed crews, a storage facility, and the equipment range needed for everything from a single-story ranch to a multi-story commercial facade.
A seasonal operation cannot offer continuity, storage, or a phone that gets answered in June. Learn more about American Holiday Lights.
The reason we keep both residential and commercial capability under one roof is that the crews learn from each other. Commercial work drives standards on documentation, safety, and product durability. Residential work drives standards on finish quality and working cleanly around someone’s home. A company doing only one tends to be visibly weaker on the other, and Mount Prospect properties frequently need both sensibilities at once.
Free design consultation, commercial-grade LED product supplied by us, professional installation, repairs through the season at no extra charge, scheduled January takedown, and off-season storage.
You never buy strands, store bins, climb a ladder, or troubleshoot a dark section. That model only works because we own the product end to end. Our holiday lighting service page details the ongoing portion.
Mount Prospect needs both. Residential work on brick ranches and Georgians calls for careful, surface-aware mounting; the Kensington Business Center and Randhurst need lifts, insurance documentation, and off-hours scheduling.
Running both means equipment and crew size get matched to the property rather than forced onto it. Commercial clients frequently move to permanent year-round lighting to eliminate annual install and takedown costs.
The Kensington Business Center and similar office properties want something quite different from retail: lighting that signals the building is occupied and cared for without looking like a holiday promotion. That usually means restrained warm white on architectural lines only, no colour, and no animation. Getting that brief right is a design conversation, and a company whose only reference point is retail storefronts tends to overshoot it badly.
Years in one region teaches which rooflines need custom cuts, which parkway trees block a ladder, and how to route power on older construction without nuisance breaker trips. None of that is learnable in a first season.
We also serve Arlington Heights, Park Ridge, and Northbrook. Browse the gallery, see the full Christmas lights installation offering, and request a consultation.
