American Holiday Lights has been lighting estate properties across the northwest suburbs since 2007. Employed crews, owned lift equipment, and a storage facility — the infrastructure an acre-plus design actually requires.
Estate work is not simply a bigger version of a suburban job. It needs crew depth, power planning, and tree capability that a seasonal operation does not have. Learn more about our company.
Estate work has a failure mode worth naming: the design that looks impressive on paper and cannot actually be powered, accessed, or maintained. It happens when a company sells the concept before surveying the property, and the corrections all land in November. Our sequence deliberately puts the site survey and the power plan ahead of the visual design, which occasionally means telling a client that something they have seen elsewhere will not work on their lot.
Color temperature gets chosen against the facade material. Warm white on limestone or stucco behaves nothing like it does on dark brick, and that decision is most of what makes a display look considered rather than bought.
We plan roofline, specimen trees, driveway approach, entry, and landscape beds as one composition. See our custom Christmas lighting work.
The Arboretum and the Barrington Road commercial corridor need off-hours scheduling, insurance documentation, and lift equipment. Residential estate work needs discretion and property protection. We run both.
Multi-property owners frequently move to permanent year-round lighting, which removes annual install, takedown, and storage costs and reprograms for every season.
Gated and association-governed subdivisions add an approval layer worth planning around. Some South Barrington associations have rules on installation dates, removal deadlines, colour, and animation, and discovering those after a design is approved is an expensive way to learn them. We ask during the survey and design within the constraints rather than around them.
After several seasons the design is refined, the product is prepared to the property, and the crew knows the drive, the trees, and where the power runs. Installs get faster and better every year.
We also serve Barrington, Inverness, and Arlington Heights. Browse the gallery, read our reviews, see the full installation offering, and request a consultation.
