Every Geneva project starts with a free on-site design consultation. We look at the elevation, identify the architectural lines worth tracing, and build a plan that covers rooflines, gables, porch rails, columns, window frames, walkways, and the mature trees that shade most of these lots. Older homes bring an electrical question that newer construction does not. A century-old house in the Geneva historic district may have limited exterior outlets, older circuits, and no obvious place to run power for a full display. We work that out during the consultation, not on install day, so the display comes on cleanly every evening on a timer without tripping anything inside.
The physical work is not something to attempt yourself on these houses. Steep Victorian pitches, slate or aged asphalt, and second- and third-story dormers are the reason we send trained, fully insured installers with proper equipment. Nobody in your household goes up a ladder. In-season maintenance is included, so a strand that fails in mid-December is a phone call rather than a project.
