American Holiday Lights has lit large northwest-suburban properties since 2007. We employ our installation crews, own lift equipment, and maintain a storage facility — the three things an estate-scale design actually depends on.
A seasonal operation with a ladder and retail strands cannot execute an Inverness property, and generally discovers that on install day. Learn more about our company.
There is a reason we push the site survey so hard on Inverness properties. Aerial imagery and a street view tell you almost nothing about a lot with a closed oak canopy and a curving private drive, and a quote built from them will be wrong in both directions — missing what the property needs and pricing work that cannot physically be done. The survey is free and it is the only honest basis for a number.
Colors get chosen against the material of the house — warm white behaves entirely differently on limestone than on dark brick, and that single decision separates a display that looks expensive from one that looks generic.
We design to the property: roofline, specimen trees, driveway approach, entry, and landscape beds as one composition. See our custom Christmas lighting work or personalized lighting options.
Design consultation, commercial-grade product, multi-technician installation, season-long repairs at no charge, scheduled January takedown, and off-season storage at our facility.
On an estate-scale display, storage alone is a substantial service — there is far too much product to reasonably keep on site. Our holiday lighting service page covers the ongoing side.
Lead time on custom product is the constraint people underestimate. Estate designs frequently call for specific colour temperatures, strand lengths, and bulb spacings that are ordered rather than pulled from stock, and those orders take weeks. A design approved in early autumn gets exactly what was specified. A design approved in November gets whatever is available, which is usually the reason late-booked estate displays look less considered than the homeowner expected.
After several seasons on a property we know which oaks take which strand lengths, where power runs, and how the composition reads from the road on a December night. That knowledge does not transfer to a new vendor without starting over.
We also serve Barrington, South Barrington, and Arlington Heights. See the gallery, the full installation offering, and request a consultation.
