Book in September, Light Up on Schedule in Arlington Heights

Experienced Holiday Light Installation Serving Arlington Heights

Holiday light installation in Arlington Heights is scheduled around two very different calendars. The historic district homes near downtown need the most design time, because turrets, dormers, and porch detail take longer to plan and longer to install. The postwar subdivisions farther out move faster. We open design consultations in late summer and install from October onward, working the complex properties first.

Booking position matters more than most people expect. Install dates are finite, they fill in request order, and by mid-November the remaining slots are whatever nobody else wanted. Homeowners who call in September pick their week. See the full scope on our Christmas lights installation in Arlington Heights page.

Consultation, Install, Season, Takedown

From Consultation to Takedown: the Sequence

A free on-site visit comes first. We measure, photograph the elevation, discuss color and coverage, and leave a written design with a fixed price. Nothing is billed until you approve it.

Installation follows, usually one visit, with product pre-cut to your roofline and timers set before the crew leaves. Through the season the display runs itself and we handle any failures. In January we remove everything on a scheduled date and store it at our facility until next fall. Four stages, one price, no surprises in between. Our guide to installing outdoor holiday lights covers the mechanics.

Historic district properties get scheduled first for a reason that is not favouritism. A turret and dormer design can take three times as long to install as a comparable square footage of straightforward roofline, and if it slips late in the season there is no room to recover. Simpler subdivision elevations can absorb a weather delay; a complex Victorian cannot. That sequencing is built into how we book the village.

Business Displays Live Before Thanksgiving

Commercial Holiday Light Installation Downtown

Downtown Arlington Heights runs on evening traffic through December, and the restaurants and mixed-use buildings around Vail Avenue and Campbell Street want to be lit well before Thanksgiving. That pushes commercial design into August and installation into early October.

We schedule around business hours, carry commercial insurance, and bring lift equipment for the multi-story facades downtown. Property managers running several buildings get one coordinated schedule rather than separate visits. See our commercial lighting services for scope.

The Best Arlington Heights Install Dates Go First

Reserve Your Arlington Heights Install Date

The practical advice is simple: call before October. American Holiday Lights has installed across the northwest suburbs since 2007, and after the first season your design is already on file, which makes every subsequent install quicker.
